As you may have heard–because my hubby and I are both so ecstatic about it we can’t stop sharing with everyone–we will be joining Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in January of 2020 to begin our Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Lakeside, Montana. There are YWAM campuses all
over the world, but God has specifically placed this location on our hearts. Lakeside, Montana is where we will do our schooling for the first twelve weeks of the DTS, during this time we will be growing and learning more about our faith, our God, and how to put what we learn into action. After the lecture phase we will depart for a ten week outreach somewhere in southeast Asia or Ukraine where we will work to know God more deeply and learn to make Him known.
God has done amazing things in both of our lives, one of which was bringing the two of us together. Before we’d met God had placed a strong desire in both of our hearts to serve others through missions work. Now a year after we’re married, we have set up our lives so that we may fully pursue this passionate calling as husband and wife. We know God brought us together with a mutual desire for missions work. We believe that by taking this opportunity to grow in our faith and serve others intentionally, we will strengthen our marriage, deepen our love for one-another, and build a solid foundation that we will base the rest of our lives on–wherever God calls us to be. This DTS will push the boundaries for us in our relationship by bringing us together to teach us how we can better work with each other in furthering the kingdom of God.
From January through May the schooling, room & board, our monthly bills, and traveling to our outreach will cost a total of $20,000. We have positioned ourselves with work and living situations this past year so that we could save as much as possible to put towards this amount. Nonetheless, we leave in January and we still need $14,000.
As you’re reading this you’ve probably come to the realization that this is a support letter, but we want it to be more than that. When we think of being supported and what it means to us, it’s so much more than just people randomly giving. It’s people who God has called to come alongside us, to pray for us, to support us, to check in with us. Being supported means people are giving with the intent of seeing Jesus move through us, this is about people who we know we can come back to and seek out. This is a journey we can be on together for the purpose of serving and loving God, each other, and the people around us. By supporting us you are investing in the eternities of those people that God will place in our lives from this day onward.
If you’re willing to support and join us in this next chapter of our lives, please contact us by email anytime and we will keep you updated on what God is doing in our lives. At this time, we are independently collecting financial support through fundraisers, work, and the generosity of others.
If you’d like to support us financially we gather donations via three options:
cash, check, and Venmo.
